Dead or grey dunes are unique sight in the Curonian spit due to its landscape – grass-like vegetation covers over 1700 ha, lightly covering the fragments of an old forest. One interesting fact attracts visitors to explore this dune section with a yacht – a whole ancient village of Nagliai is buried underneath the sand here.
